Dear participants of the European e-training for Adult Educators – Share, Learn and Inspire!

We are delighted to see that so many people have enrolled to our course and its first session!

We are very much looking forward to meeting you during the first session that will take place live next Tuesday 14th of April at 11am CET. During this first session, we will go in detail through the e-training and answer your questions.

We’d like to share with you a few things before Tuesday.

Before the course starts, feel free to explore the learning platform and to start reading through the resources we have prepared for you.

We’d like sessions to be interactive: if you’ve gone through the documents already, it will be easier for you to participate in the discussions or to phrase some questions.

We’d like to also stress that this is a newly developed course and that it is the first time we will run it online. We hope that everything will run smoothly, but please be patient if some technical issues or other issues take place!

All session will be recorded and available online after they took place “live”. If you cannot attend a session at some point, it is not a problem; you can watch it later on.

Interaction with the other participants will be important in this e-learning course. Therefore, we’d like to ask you to upload your picture on your profile to present yourself to the other participants, and edit your profile with some more information if you like. The platform contains a Forum that you can use for any question related to the course. Also, we have created a Facebook group called “Younger Staff in Adult Education” – feel free to join it to be always updated and to interact with each other!  Also, do follow our Facebook page “AE-PRO” with more general updates on the course!
Next Tuesday 14th of April is our first online session. To join the meeting, please follow this link: Make sure to connect to the webinar 30 minutes in advance and to undertake the following checks:

  • make sure you have a good Internet connection;
  • check your audio settings - make sure you have a set of headphones and a microphone and that they both work properly;
  • you may use an integrated camera or webcam if you have one.

You can always refer to our FAQ if you have more questions:
We very much look forward to seeing you and talking with you next Tuesday morning!
Have a wonderful week-end till then,

All the best,

Dear Colleagues

Thank you for your patience. I have been attempting to edit the recording from the first session however unfortunately I have run into a few technical difficulties which I have asked our webinar supplier to resolve as a matter of urgency. We are using new software so it is taking a little time to perfect. I hope to have the recording available to everyone by the end of the week and will let you all know as soon as it has been uploaded onto the platform.

Again, thank you for your patience.

Dear Colleagues

Hurrah! The webinar recording from the first session is now available to view at You can also access it via the AE-PRO platform - go to the introductory session and you will find it within the 'Learning' section. I have also attached the recording as a VLC media file to this post should you wish to download a copy. Thank you so much for your patience.

Also thank you for your questions during the webinar. I have now had a chance to go through them all and the FAQs section will be updated accordingly.

In the meantime don't forget to enrol on the next session: Introduction to adult education policies at a European level. The webinar for this session will take place on Tuesday 12th May 2015, 11 am (CET), and a link and joining instructions will be sent out nearer the time.

Best wishes
